At the end of this course, the licensee will be able to describe the following:

  • Identify the government agency with primary responsibility for regulating and developing minimum requirements for smoke & CO alarm laws and the agency’s roles in relation to consumers and licensees.
  • Explain consumer protections relevant to smoke and CO alarm laws.
  • Seller’s obligations and protections and how it applies to the Seller’s Property Disclosure Statement.
  • Summarize the provisions in Oregon statutes and administrative rules relevant to smoke and CO alarm laws.

Class will be taught by Jamie Whitehouse from the office of the Oregon State Fire Marshal. Credit hour will be provided by EMAR.
